The Goods and Services Tax ( GST ) Payments in the Jammu and Kashmir region is easier now as the Goods and Services Tax Network ( GSTN ) has enabled the facility to make payments through UPI & Debit and Credit Cards. GSTN revealed this update in a tweet on ‘X’.

Currently, the Goods and Services Tax Payments of these states can be made through using UPI or Debit/Credit Card facilities: – Assam Delhi Goa Gujarat Haryana Himachal Pradesh Jharkhand Karnataka Kerala Madhya Pradesh Maharashtra Odisha Rajasthan Tripura Uttar Pradesh With the latest addition of Jammu & Kashmir to the list, the nationwide tax compliance has been made easier by the government.

The absence of the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal is another issue yet to be effectively addressed by the government. However, with the appointment of the President, the tribunal is expected to come into life soon enough to act as an adjudicating body for taxpayer concerns.
