The Income Tax Department, vide ‘X’ formerly known as twitter has notified the introduction of Demand Facilitation Centre (DFC) to Ease Outstanding Tax Demands. The tweet says as follows:
“Income Tax Department launches Demand Facilitation Centre (DFC) to facilitate resolution of outstanding tax demand(s). Pl note that the taxpayer/tax professional may receive: Call from DFC from this number: +91 8216671200 Email from the email ID: firstname.lastname@example.org to facilitate resolution of outstanding demand.”
DFFC is Live in Karnataka, Punjab. The taxpayer will receive email from the email ID : email@example.com on his/her registered email ID. The taxpayer can connect with DFC using the toll-free number: 1800 309 0130. SAFETY MEASURES Never share your e-filing login user ID/password, financial details like bank a/c number, credit/debit card number, CW, O.T.P. , etc. Never open/download attachments from any email ID other than the official email ID of DFC. Never reply/click on links inside a spam email.
