The Directorate General of Foreign Trade ( DGFT ), vide Notification No. 60/2023 dated February 13th, 2024 notified the Indian Trade Classification ( HS ) based export policy for Chapter 01-39 of Schedule 2, marking a crucial development in trade regulations. Under the authority vested by Section 3 and Section 5 of the Foreign Trade ( Development & Regulation ) Act, 1992, and in alignment with Para 1.02 and 2.01 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, the Central Government has officially notified Chapter 01-39 of Schedule 2 ( Export Policy ) of the ‘Indian Trade Classification ( Harmonized System ) of Export Items, 2023’.

This notification encompasses the specifics of Chapter 01-39 of Schedule 2 ( Export Policy ) of ITC ( HS ), 2023, which are detailed in the Annexure to this Notification. Chapter 01-39 of Schedule 2 of ITC ( HS ), 2023 delineates the prevailing export policy for distinct items, along with any accompanying policy conditions that must be adhered to.
